Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Royaltyport B.V. ("Royaltyport," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on royaltyport.com, including our website, documentation, and changelog (together, the "Site"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data and how you can exercise your privacy rights.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website. They can help a website operate securely, remember choices, understand how it is used, and measure campaigns.

We also use similar browser technologies, including local storage. Local storage lets the Site remember information in your browser but, unlike a cookie, is not automatically sent with each web request. In this Policy, references to "cookies" include similar technologies unless we say otherwise.

Cookies may be:

  • First-party cookies, set on the Royaltyport domain; or
  • Third-party technologies, provided by another organization whose tools we use. A third-party tool may set a first-party cookie on the Royaltyport domain while also sending information to that provider.

Cookies may also be session cookies, which normally expire when the browser session ends, or persistent cookies, which remain for a stated period or until you delete them.

2. How consent works on the Site

Necessary cookies are always active because they are required for security, authentication, core Site features, and remembering your consent choice.

We do not load Google Analytics or Meta Pixel until you consent to the relevant optional category. When you first visit the Site, you can:

  • select Allow all;
  • select Necessary only; or
  • select Customize and choose individual optional categories.

Your optional choices are off unless you enable them. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through Cookie settings in the Site footer or on our Trust & Legal page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal. When you withdraw an optional category, we stop loading the corresponding technology and attempt to remove its first-party cookies from the Royaltyport domain. You may also need to use your browser or provider settings to remove data already stored elsewhere.

We store your cookie choice for one year. If that record is missing, deleted, or no longer compatible with the current consent version, we ask you to choose again.

3. Cookie categories

Marketing

Marketing technologies help us measure campaigns and understand whether our communications are relevant. Meta Pixel is loaded only if you enable Marketing.

If both Google Analytics and Marketing are enabled, we also send Google Consent Mode signals that permit advertising-related storage, advertising measurement, and advertising-personalization uses configured for our Google services. Royaltyport does not currently load a separate Google Ads conversion tag on the Site.

4. Cookieless audience and performance measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights on the Site regardless of the optional cookie choices above. These services do not set cookies.

Vercel Web Analytics uses anonymized data and a request-derived identifier that resets daily and is not used to follow a visitor between different websites or different days. Vercel Speed Insights collects anonymous performance information, such as the Site route, browser, device type, operating system, country, network speed, and Web Vitals. It is not designed to identify a visitor or reconstruct a browsing session across pages.

You can learn more in Vercel's Web Analytics documentation and Speed Insights privacy documentation.

5. Legal basis

We use necessary cookies to provide functionality you request, protect the Site and its users, maintain authenticated sessions, and record consent choices. Where applicable, we rely on the exception for technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a requested service and on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site.

We use Preferences, Statistics, and Marketing technologies based on your consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie settings without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

6. Your browser and device controls

Most browsers let you inspect, block, or delete cookies and Site data. Blocking all cookies may prevent authentication, consent storage, or other Site features from working correctly. Browser controls operate separately on each browser and device, so you may need to repeat your choices.

Deleting rp_cookie_consent will cause the Site to ask for your choices again. Deleting authentication cookies may sign you out of protected content.

7. Third-party processing and international transfers

Google, Meta, Vercel, and Supabase may process information on our behalf or as otherwise described in their terms and privacy notices. Depending on the provider and service configuration, information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Our Privacy Policy explains the safeguards we use for international transfers and provides more information about recipients of personal data.

8. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies, similar technologies, vendors, or applicable requirements changes. We will post the updated version on the Site and change the "Last updated" date. Where required, we will request consent again before using a new or materially changed optional technology or purpose.
